Condo Rules

Thank you again for choosing The Colonial Club!

In advance of your upcoming travels, please take a minute to familiarize yourselves with the following rules and information:

  • Call "911" for the fire department, police, and emergency medical services.
  • The waters along Seven Mile Beach are designated a Marine Park and it is against the law to take any marine life, alive or dead, from the waters. Violation  of  any  marine conservation law  is  an  offence  carrying  a maximum  penalty  of  Cl$500,000  fine  and  four  years  in  jail.  http://doe.ky/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Conservation-Brochure-13-April-2018.pdf
  • The Office hours are as follows: Monday to Friday – 9:00 am to 3:00 pm and Saturday – 9:00am to 12:00 noon. The Office is closed on Sundays and Public Holidays. In case of an emergency, the Manager can be reached by phoning 928-6264.
  • Check out time is 11:00 am. There will be no late checkouts without the Manger’s approval.  Luggage storage is available.
  • Key return - please let the Manager know, beforehand, what time you intend to leave for the airport and leave all keys on the kitchen table.
  • Maid service is provided Monday - Saturday, between 9am and 1pm, except for Public Holidays.
  • A telephone is located inside the condo for your convenience. There is no charge for local calls.
  • Free WiFi is available in your condo –  network and password information can be found in the information sheet inside the condo.
  • Seperate free WiFi is also available on the beach, by the pool, and common areas - details will be provided in a welcome email at check-in.
  • When locking the front door, from both inside and outside, always lift the door handle "UP" first.
  • To reserve the tennis court, use the sign on the gate of the tennis court. The combination for the lock on the tennis court can be found on the information sheet inside your condo.
  • Pink beach towels are provided. Please do not take bathroom towels or pillows to the beach.
  • Please collapse the umbrellas when you are through with them for the day. Umbrellas should also be collapsed on windy days as they run the risk of being destroyed or simply blown away. To raise the beach umbrellas, simply reach under the canvas and pull down the cords that you will find there until you see 2 small holes in the pole appear. You will then push the metal spike attached to the cord through these holes. The process will require getting under the umbrella as it rises.
  • When you are finished using the beach lounges/chairs/tables at the end of each day, please return them back up to the edge of the beach/grass boundary for the safety of nesting sea turtles. Also, please do not take the lounges/chairs/tables into the water.
  • The Colonial Club’s grounds, rentals, and patios are non-smoking (including e-cigarettes/vaporizers).  Anyone found to be smoking or having smoked in our condos will be subject to an additional charge of US$325.00.  Smoking is allowed on the public portion of the beach (West — the water side — of the smaller, demarcating, beach signs) but please use an ashtray and dispose of your butts properly.
  • No pets are allowed in the condos, or on The Colonial Club’s grounds.
  • Our television is provided by C3. Occasionally, you may need to disconnect the power from the white cable box if an update did not complete properly, or if you experience poor service.
  • There is a barbeque grill for your use by the tennis court. There is no sign up sheet for this. It is operated on a “first come, first serve” basis.
  • Please do not hang towels on rails, furniture, or sit on the furniture with wet swimsuits or suntan lotion.
  • As each apartment is individually owned, please do not take any of the furnishings or kitchen equipment from the apartment to the beach or to another apartment.
  • Do not put tampons, tampon containers, sanitary napkins, paper toweling, or any other foreign object into the toilet.
  • Water is a precious commodity on the island. Use what you need, but please don’t be wasteful.
  • Please keep the A/C running (fan on “auto”) and all windows/doors closed, as it helps prevent mold in humid tropical climates such as this.
  • In consideration of others, please ensure that the noise level from televisions, CD players, radios, etc. is kept to a minimum inside the condos, on the beach and by the pool.
  • Should you choose/need to empty your garbage outside of our free maid service schedule, our dumpster is located behind the green double gates by our main entrance (gates are locked but an access path is located between the hedges and the blank parking spot).
